Confucius grew up in a poor family and lost his father at the age of 3. His mother, Yan, brought him up。Later, he became a minor official, and his official position reached the highest level in charge of the judicial administration of Lu. After that, he traveled around the world and returned to Lu in his later years, giving lectures and teaching students and collating classics. His remarks were collected by his disciples in the Analects of Confucius。
The essence of Confucius' thought lies in "benevolent governance" and "virtuous governance", that is, "saving money and loving people".。In "The Analects of Confucius • Narrating" recorded: "save use and love, make the people with time", concentrated reflects his thought of clean government。
Confucius in "The Analects of Confucius • Learning and" said: "gentle, good, respectful, thrifty, let", "thrifty" as one of his life attitude。"Economizing", that is, not being extravagant, refers to the reform of luxury and frugality in life, economic economization of financial expenditure, generosity of the people, enabling the people to have time, not plundering farmers, rewarding production, etc。The economic thought of "economizing" is also the fundamental basis of governance, because extravagance will lead to the loss of wealth, and the loss of wealth will harm the people, so love the people must first economize。After saving consumption, the implementation of benevolent policies will have a rich economic foundation。"Saving money" is the premise of saving money, Confucius opposed the government's excessive oppression of the people, and asked them to "benefit the people" and "save money from the weak", so that the people can "enjoy the near, distant," and the country can "eat enough, feed the people, and trust the people."。
